Coffee granita is a low calories alternative to a gelato.
Very popular in Italy during the hot months, a perfect replacement to the hot espresso.
It can be served with dark chocolate or topped with whipped cream if you want to indulge.
- 1 cup Coffee
- 1 sachet sweetner otional
- If you have an ice cream machine, just put a cup of espresso plus 1 sweetener sachet per person in the machine. Turn the machine on until the coffee freezes like a sorbet.
- If you don’t have an ice cream machine just freeze the coffee into ice-cubes. When frozen put it inside a clean kitchen cloth and hammer with a tenderizer mallet till coarsen into crystals. Pour into the serving cup immediately.
