What is evil about Pizza with Nutella ? It's devilishly good, hard to resist, and it goes straight to your waistline.

The evil pizza with nutella

It is like bread filled with Nutella, and when it comes out of the oven warm and fragrant, it can't help but be mouth watering!

But wait-it's for the children's Halloween party!!

Here I've made two versions:

One Halloween-shaped one done with themed cookie cutters, and a regular one for an extra-special children's snack at any other time of the year.

The ingredients are:

  • 1 cup - 250 ml of water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 3 cup - 450 gr of flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 package of yeast

For machine-users, pour the ingredients into the machine and set the program for Fresh Dough (number 13 on the Kenwood).

Note: when using the bread machine, the ingredients should be placed in the exact order as listed above, so liquids first.

cut the dough into 4 equal sizes

For normal shaped pizzas:

divide the dough into four sections and make them into four round balls.

Once the dough is ready, I usually roll my dough on a well floured baking sheet.

This way I can contain the flour within the paper, and it is much easier when you need to put the dough over the pizza stone.

Roll the dough flat

For Halloween-shaped pizzas:

divide into two sections and make into rectangular pizzas.

For a Regular Pizza with Nutella

Spread the Nutella on a diameter along the centre of the pizza.
Then fold both sides inwards, and let it rest for 20 minutes before cooking.

While the dough rises, put the pizza stone in the oven and set the temperature to 180 C.

When the oven has reached that temperature, take the hot pizza stone out of the oven, lay the pizza on top, and put it back in the oven to cook for 17 minutes.

Pizza with nutella 1_2_1

To cook the pizza in a regular kitchen oven, I use a stone plate from Brazil called 'Soapstone'.

If you want to know more about it you can look at recipe: Italian Homemade pizza.

For Halloween-shaped pizzas

Spread the Nutella over half of the dough, then fold over halfway (like a book).

Place the cookie cutters as tightly as possible (to utilize most of the dough) and cut the shapes out.

Try to place them in the centre as the Nutella is mostly in the middle, whilst the sides tend to be empty.

Once the shapes are done, the pizzas will have to rest for another 20 minutes to rise again.

To transfer the Halloween shaped pizzas over the hot pizza stone, I leave them on the baking sheet.

No mess!

I also never forget to cook the shape scraps, as there are always a few adults who won't mind eating them.

Like Rhiannon, I'd be powerless against this combination. I usually bring half of whatever dessert I make every week to my coworkers, but none of this would make it out of the house. NONE.
